More Dastarkhwan in a Month: CM
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that all resources are being utilized for the welfare of the people and million of poor families are benefiting from the welfare-oriented projects launched by the government.
In a meeting with provincial assembly members Aasma Mamdot and Sheikh Allauddin at Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Wednesday, the chief minister said the government was now launching Sasti Roti Dasterkhawn Programme for the provision of “Sasta Salan” to the poor. He said that 98 such Dasterkhawns had been set up so far in the province. During the next month, the target of 300 Sasti Roti Dasterkhawns will be achieved with the cooperation of philanthropists, he added.
He said that the elected representatives should monitor Sasti Roti Scheme and review Sasti Roti Dasterkhawn programme in their respective areas.
uplift projects: Shahbaz Sharif has said that the promotion of information technology is the need of the hour for rapid development and the government is implementing a comprehensive programme for the purpose.
Addressing a meeting held to review the pace of implementation of various development programmes in the province here on Wednesday, he said that, after setting up IT labs in high schools, their scope was being extended to middle schools level. It would help millions of students benefit from the revolutionary measure, he said.
