Pakistani Leadership To Decide Timing Of New Offensive: Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reiterated that the Pakistani leadership would decide the timing of new military operation and would not take dictation from outside world.
Qureshi was addressing the media outside the Lahore airport where he said that the center government and the provincial government should jointly prepare the strategy to fight extremism in the province. He informed that Indian Foreign Secretary will arrive in Pakistan on June 24 to finalize the agenda of the composite dialogue between Pakistan and India. He also informed that Pakistan is prospective contender for seat at UN Security Council. He also expressed Pakistan’s desire to solve Iran’s nuclear issue through dialogues.
Qureshi said a working group session of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey would soon be called. He added that the ammunition provided to Pakistan by the global community would be used in fighting extremism in the country.
