PPP Derides Mudslingers
COORDINATOR to President Naveed Chaudhry has slated remnants of dictatorship for conspiring against democratic system.
Besides, he asserted that the entire PPP was united under the leadership of Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
In a statement on Tuesday, the PPP leader added elements, who were involved in attacking Supreme Court of Pakistan, were now pretending to be the main supporters of judiciary merely for political gains. He said it seemed ridiculous that the leaders, whose past was full of corruption including formation of forward blocs, buying loyalties and above all extending blind support to the dictatorship of Ziaul Haq, were now pointing fingers against President Zardari.
Naveed Chaudhry further said those alleging that Zardari was trying to create division in Punjab must look at their own past when after witnessing defeat in polls, they tried to divide Punjab from other provinces by giving a ‘wake up call’ to the people of the largest province.
He stated the PPP government had a long history of sacrifices and its leadership in various times had sacrificed even its own life but didn’t bow before dictator.
