Teacher, Employees Bemoan School Admin Apathy
CLASS-IV employees of Government Central Model School Lower Mall and a senior teacher residing within school premises have been facing acute shortage of water for the last many days as the school administration has allegedly deprived them of the facility.
The teacher, Muhammad Sohail Manzoor, said that electricity connection to his residence of has also been disconnected as he was being pressurised to vacate his residence despite the fact that the matter was in the court.
He said the poor residents including women, children and elders were suffering owing to the alleged move of the school administration. The teacher further said there were a total of eight quarters within the school premises.
He said hot weather was adding to the miseries of the residents, who had to arrange water for drinking and other purposes themselves. This correspondent could not reach the administrator of the Government Central Model School Lower Mall despite repeated attempts on his cell phone.
When contacted, senior headmaster Ch Muhammad Yousaf said he had been out of city for the last couple of days and was unaware of the situation. He, however, said there might be some technical problem with the water-motor as it was also repaired in recent past. He also rejected allegations levelled by the teacher.
