Three Die In Accidents
THREE men, including a police sub-inspector, lost their lives in three separate accidents in the city on Wednesday.
In the first incident, Sub-Inspector of Defence-B Police Station Ashfaq Sindho was on his way to police station when his motorbike collided with an electric poll. As a result, he sustained severe injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds. His body was handed over to relatives.
In the second incident, a 55-year-old unidentified man was crushed to death by a speeding train at Kot Lakhpat Railway Station on Wednesday morning.
Police said the deceased was crossing the railway lines when a speeding train hit him. As a result, he sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Police shifted the body to city morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was killed by a speeding car in the jurisdiction of Old Anarkali police.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Afzal, a resident of Mozang. Police said the victim was crossing the main road when a speeding car number (LEV-2448) hit him. As a result, he received multiple injuries. Locals of the area rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Police took the car into custody while the driver could not be arrested so far.
