UVAS Flood Relief Camps
THE University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has sent a delegation, comprising volunteer students and teachers, to set up relief camps for the people hit by floods and their cattle.
According to a press statement on Wednesday, almost 48 volunteer veterinarians would give medical treatment to sick animals and vaccinate the normal ones.
The UVAS flood relief camps have been established in the most devastated districts of southern Punjab, including Mianwali and Muzaffargarh.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz had constituted a Flood Relief Committee in a bid to participate in the rehabilitation efforts of the government for people of the flood-hit areas.
The delegation is headed by Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Khan.
