Chairing a high level departmental meeting held to review the pace of rationalisation, he said that surplus staff would be adjusted to the nearest school deficient in staff under this process and a vacancy could be filled through transfer or recruitment at once. He added no teacher would be declared surplus and their job security would be fully ensured. The meeting was told that EDOs (Education) with the coordination of DMOs and DEOs shall prepare a rationalisation plan. The committee would scrutinise the rationalisation plan on case to case basis and grant its approval.
