University of Peshawar launches 4-year B.Ed degree program

University of Peshawar (UoP) launches 4-year B.Ed degree program

Peshawar, The Institute of Education and Research (IER) of University of Peshawar has launched four-year B.Ed (Honours) elementary degree programmes with the support of US AID and good teachers education programmers (Pre-step) in Pakistan.

Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr Sara Safdar was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony while chief of Pre-step Dr Mahmoodul Hassan was also present on the occasion, said a UOP press release.

Dr Wazim Khan, coordinator of the programmes, said that the Higher Education Commission had approved courses of the four-year programmes and this year the IER institute had enrolled 25 students in B.Ed (Hons).

He said we give scholarship of that 15 of the enrolled students had been given. The provincial government is also on board to recruit all the trained teachers are grade 16 or 17 respectively,
