Drake & James Franco Are GQ Men of the Year
They’re both major celebrities so it’s no wonder that GQ magazine named Drake and James Franco as two of their 2010 Men of the Year.
Both Franco and Drake got their own covers for the December 2010 issue, and in his interview, James shared a story of taking a class with Michael Warner, a founder of queer theory
“Basically it’s a wide-reaching approach to whatever—literature, life, politics. It is on the most basic level an anti-normative approach to all of these subjects. One approach to things might be to classify everything as ‘This is straight, this is gay; this is Republican, this is Democrat,’ whatever. The queer approach is to complicate all of that and see the way all of these different things are intermingled and connected.”
Also among the 2010 GQ Men of the Year are Jeff Bridges [Icon] and Stephen Colbert [Patriot] as well as Scarlett Johansson as Babe of the Year.
