In a meeting under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Rehman Malik, ban has been put on arms carrying during the next 48 hours in Karachi. All security arrangements have been finalised for funeral prayer of Dr. Imran Farooq.
A meeting was held in National Crisis Management Cell to review the law and order situation. DG Rangers and other security officials including IG Sindh attended the meeting. It is decided in the meeting to impose ban on arms carrying for next 48 hours in the city. Notification has been issued by Interior Ministry in this regard. Talking to media, Rehman Malik said that he cannot disclose security plan before media. Security plan has been given final shape, he added.
