Indian Film Actor Murad Raza in Lahore For Indo-Pak Friendship
Indian film actor Mura Raza has wished for a joint Indo-Pak film venture as well as an Indo-Pak Friendship Centre established in both countries. Murad said he held the hospitality of people of Lahore in high esteem and that the last time when he had visited he had little time to see the city. But during his trip, he said, he would also visit Islamabad and Karachi before returning to India on 27 March. He underline the need for good relations between Pakistan and India. He said besides himself, Om Puri and Naseeruddin Shah had visited Pakistan and if an invitation was extended, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan would also visit Pakistan because he had countless fans in this country. Recently, veteran actor Om Puri was in Lahore along with actress Divya Dutta for the play Teri Amrita.
He was in Pakistan last year too as Cultural Journalist Association of Pakistan invited him for a program. He really stressed that India and Pakistan should co-produce movies in order to encourage peace and harmony in both the countries. And this year too, he came with an agenda.
