LAHORE: The Meteorological Department has dismissed reports of potential flooding of the Ravi River and has said there is no chance of the river flooding in the next 10 days. Talking to the APP on Tuesday, Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Akram Anjam said water flow in the river was normal and there was no danger. He said torrential rains were expected within the next two days across the country but that they would not cause any floods. “The department has been keeping a vigilant eye on the flood situation in the country and will keep the public informed of possible flooding in the river,” he added. He said that India had not released water into the Ravi River because its dams were not yet fully filled. He said India was bound to tell Pakistan 24 hours before releasing water into the river. app
