LAHORE: Salman Khalid has been selected for the programme ‘The Rights of the Youth with Disabilities’ being held in Seoul, South Korea from August 18 to September 1, sponsored by the Korean Society for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (KSRDP).

Salman is the only candidate from Pakistan to be selected for the two-week training programme. He is blind, but an expert trainer and has been a teacher for blind people with the LABARD Vocational Training Centre.

Initially, six people had been nominated from Pakistan for the programme. Later, telephone interviews were conducted by the KSRDP, and only Salman qualified.
