Brain cancer is one of the most dreaded disease and people remain always eager to find out ways as to how the disease can be resisted. Now your cup of morning tea or coffee can lift your spirits as well as fight against the risk of brain cancer.
According to researchers, people who drink half a cup of coffee each day have a lesser chance of getting brain cancer by 34%. Actually so, caffeine present in coffee checks the growth of tumors by restricting the blood flow to the brain. This was found out in previous researches but now the researchers have gone a step ahead to show us newer ways to prevent the disease.
The study was published in the November issue of American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The study reveals that daily dose of these two beverages lowers the risk of glioma. Glioma is the cancer of the central nervous system that starts in the brain or spine. It accounts for the 80% of brain cancer in adults and about 50 percent survive for one year after diagnosis and 25 percent after two years.
