Hadith# 843
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ، وَفِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ .
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ظہر و عصر میں امام کے پیچھے پہلی دونوں رکعتوں میں سورۃ فاتحہ اور کوئی ایک سورۃ پڑھتے تھے، اور آخری دونوں رکعتوں میں صرف سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھتے تھے ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “We used to recite the Opening of the Book and a Surah behind the Imam in the first two Rak’ah of the Zuhr and the ‘Asr, and in the last wo Rak’ah (we would recite) the Opening of the Book.”
